SPARKS, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--
Joseph Bollentini, senior vice president of Ricoh Consumer Products Group, today announced that he will leave Ricoh to assume an executive position with a Silicon Valley Software Group in the coming weeks.
During his seven-year
tenure at Ricoh CPG, Bollentini was instrumental in designing and building the company's consumer products channel and infrastructure for 35-mm cameras, CD-RW drives and media and digital still cameras. Under his direction, Bollentini transformed Ricoh CPG from 35-mm sales and marketing organizations to a full-fledged innovator and dominant force in the high technology marketplace."There is no doubt that Ricoh is committed to high technology consumer products. Ricoh has allowed me to work with a remarkable team of people and to market many great products," said Joseph Bollentini. "I wish Ricoh the best as I embark upon my new ventures in the consumer software marketplace."
Bollentini's vision and strategic direction positioned Ricoh as a leader in the imaging, photographic and storage markets, against such formidable competitors including HP, Philips, Kodak, Nikon and Sony. Among several key accomplishments, Bollentini directed the launch of the consumer-oriented digital camera and CD-RW drive.
Joseph Bollentini is an industry veteran with more than two decades of channel development and corporate management experience. Prior to joining Ricoh CPG; Bollentini was founder and CEO of Bollentini Inc., and Quick Turn Marketing Inc., sales agency and distribution business.
"Bollentini will turn over the CPG reins to Don Watson, of the Corporate Marketing Group, located at Ricoh's Headquarters in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Watson currently heads up Ricoh's expanding small office/home office business which recently announced the intention of distributing a new line of monochrome printers throughout the United States."
"I look forward to continuing Joe Bollentini's effort to support and nurture our valued customer base and, with many exciting new digital camera products on the horizon, I'm confident that the CPG group's efforts will continue to provide a great value proposition with their outstanding products," said Watson.
CPG will continue to support Ricoh digital camera customers with customer service and support. Future decisions regarding expansion of operations will be made after planned new product announcements are made nationally.
