Supply Chain Veteran, Richard J. Sherman, to Spearhead Marketing
Strategy for Growing Software Company
ClearOrbit, a leading provider of supply chain execution and collaboration solutions, announced today that Richard J. Sherman, widely known in the logistics and supply chain industry, has joined the company as chief marketing officer (CMO).
In this role Sherman will be responsible for the corporate brand of the company and will oversee all marketing functions including product marketing, business development, marketing communications and analyst relations.

Sherman is an internationally recognized writer, researcher, and speaker on topics in supply chain management, collaborative commerce, and marketing. His extensive experience in the supply chain space includes launching the Supply Chain Advisory Services at AMR Research. He was also on the founding team of the Supply Chain Council.
Prior to joining ClearOrbit, Sherman served as CMO at V3 Systems. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Marketing at EXE Technologies (Nasdaq:EXEE). During his more than 20 years in high-tech marketing, Sherman has also held senior management positions with Syncra Systems, Numetrix, Information Resources (Nasdaq:IRIC), Mercer Management Consulting, Digital Equipment Corporation and Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS).
He currently serves in a leadership capacity for several supply chain industry organizations including the VICS CPFR Committee, the Center for Logistics Management at the University of Nevada-Reno, the Council of Logistics Management (CLM) and the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). Sherman holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Notre Dame.
