NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2004
UC4 Software, Inc., the technology leader in job scheduling and data center automation, today announced a structural reorganization and the promotion of two key executives. Vincent Stuger, formerly Senior Vice President of Product Management and Development, will head the newly created Product Marketing and Development department, while Gunther Flamm, previously Senior Vice President of UC4 Software's Global Services Organization, will oversee the expanded Global Sales and Service Organization (GSSO). The streamlined management structure is designed to better serve the rapidly evolving needs of the international job scheduling marketplace. The changes also come in response to UC4 Software's continued international growth, particularly in the US, where the company recently expanded its sales team and added more than 18 new customers since January.
Both Mr. Stuger and Mr. Flamm will be instrumental in supporting the increasing demands on UC4 Software's product development and sales cycles. The creation of the product marketing and development department, which Mr. Stuger will spearhead, is designed to concentrate product-related activities under a single entity, covering global product management, marketing, development and support. The GSSO, headed by Mr. Flamm, was developed in order to leverage current market synergies, and streamline processes and communication across UC4 Software's worldwide sales force.
"UC4 Software has always been committed to evolving its product line to support changing market needs. The same holds true for our corporate structure," said Franz Beranek, founder and CEO of UC4 Software. "Our most recent reorganization takes into account our growing global presence, strengthening our ability to efficiently support the increasing demand for our software and services around the world."
Contributing to the corporate reorganization was UC4 Software's explosive growth in the US market, following the launch of offices in New York and Denver in January 2003. UC4 Software, Inc., the company's US subsidiary, has already doubled its customer base, with more than 120 top customers spanning the corporate, educational, and non-profit industries.
As demand for the company's products in the US continues to grow, UC4 Software, Inc. has also strengthened its internal sales organization, adding nine new members to the team.
"The US market is quickly recognizing the benefits of a flexible, cross-platform job scheduling tool that has delivered proven results at leading companies around the world," said Mark Loehr, Chief Operating Officer at UC4 Software, Inc. "This large demand in the US can now be more effectively managed by our expanded sales team, which in turn is well-supported internally through the global efforts of our corporate reorganization."
