Aseptic packaging may not be the saving grace for every company in the paperboard industry. However, the technology's significant, steady growth in recent years definitely demands a serious look from the industry's most progressive firms who are searching for ways to remain ahead of the fold in today's aggressive marketplace.
According to Fritz Yambrach, a professor with the Rochester, N.Y.-based Rochester Institute of Technology Packaging Science program, aseptic packaging should turn on quite a few light bulbs for America's struggling independent paperboard packagers.
