The chamber federation, in aggregate, has a total membership of nearly three million small businesses. ChamberBiz content and capabilities will be accessible to business users from either the ChamberBiz home page or the home pages of participating chambers.
Under terms of the agreement, ChamberBiz will promote AtYourBusiness.com's services on its site. Included among the services are AtYourBusiness.com's proprietary HR Manager(SM), payroll processing, benefits administration, pre-employment screening, training, recruitment and other related services. The co-brand site will be launched in March. Both parties will support the site with marketing efforts and customer service.
&uot;Our partnership with AtYourBusiness.com will allow us to substantially increase the value and utility of our Web site and the Web services we are offering state and local chambers of commerce and their member businesses,&uot; said Evan McDonnell, vice president of ChamberBiz. &uot;AtYourBusiness.com's focus on small business services and their expertise in human resources and Web-based business solutions makes for a perfect fit with ChamberBiz. Our mission is to help our users improve their businesses through the use of the Internet. With this partnership, ChamberBiz members will be able to dramatically reduce the time spent on paperwork and help their companies grow.&uot;
&uot;Our partnership with Chamberbiz is part of our `clicks and bricks' strategy,&uot; explained Phil Gross, co-founder and president of AtYourBusiness.com. &uot;Whether a company has two employees or 102, At Your Business.com gives them the equivalent of a large HR department by offering free, easy to use HR Management tools and a complete suite of business services from name brand providers such as ADP and Wausau. The service doesn't require a business owner or manager to be trained in HR issues. HR Manager has built-in `triggers' that will prompt the employer when necessary. For example, as the 18th employee is hired, a message alerts the employer that COBRA rules apply for companies with over 20 employees, and AtYourBusiness.com will be there to help deliver the solution to that problem.&uot;
HR Manager, at the center of AtYourBusiness.com's services, creates an on-line HR department that is available from any computer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It includes almost everything a business owner needs to recruit, interview, hire, compensate, train, manage and, if necessary, fire employees. The service also helps companies stay compliant with state and federal employee-related regulations.
