Davox Corporation (NASDAQ:DAVX), a leading developer of customer contact solutions, today announced the promotion of Paul R. Lucchese to vice president, general counsel and secretary. In his new role as vice president, Lucchese will serve as an officer of the Company and continue to report directly to Davox's Vice President of Finance and CFO Michael Provenzano.

Lucchese joined Davox in October 1994 as contracts manager. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility including associate general counsel, director of contracts administration and legal counsel, and general counsel. In his most recent position as general counsel and secretary of the Company, Lucchese advised senior management and the board of directors on all legal matters and oversaw the contract management function for the Company.
Prior to his position at Davox, Lucchese worked as an associate/legal contractor for a private law firm. Previously, he served as legal counsel for Iris Graphics, Inc. In this role, he acted as sole internal legal representative, worked with external counsel when appropriate, developed and standardized the company's contracting process, and implemented compliance policies and procedures.
Lucchese holds a juris doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law, Dayton, Ohio, a master's degree in business administration from Suffolk University, Boston, Mass., and a bachelor's degree in political science from Providence College. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, American Bar Association, New England Corporate Counsel Association, and American Corporate Counsel Association.
