ZOLL Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: ZOLL), a manufacturer of non-invasive cardiac resuscitation devices, announced today that it has won a NorthFace ScoreBoard Award, presented by the Omega Management Group Corporation. The annual award is presented to companies that demonstrate exemplary customer service and exceed customer expectations. The service categories in which ZOLL was recognized in 2003 were technical support, order shipment, and depot repair.

To qualify for the NorthFace ScoreBoard Award, a company must meet four criteria: 1) senior management commitment to exceeding customer expectations; 2) customer satisfaction program that identifies and corrects customer problems; 3) measuring the level of customer satisfaction with product/service; and 4) achieving an overall score of 4.0 out of 5.0 for a year. In ZOLL's case, Omega conducted quarterly telephone surveys with 100 customers to determine level of achievement and quantify results. Highlights from the ZOLL customer satisfaction surveys were as follows:

-- 98% of customers responding to the technical support survey

rated ZOLL as meeting or exceeding their expectations.

-- 97% of customers who responded to the order/delivery survey

rated ZOLL as meeting or exceeding their expectations.
