Considered the definitive report on corporate reputation, FORTUNE's "Most Admired" list is based on opinion research by the Hay Group consultancy, which asks 10,000 executives, directors and securities analysts to rate the companies on eight criteria that together make up the elements of corporate reputation. In total 611 companies in 70 industries were surveyed.

In the Wholesalers: Electronics and Office Equipment industry, CDW ranked first in all of the eight attributes measured, including innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of products/services.
