State of New Hampshire Signs Multi-Suite Software Contract with Lawson Software; Statewide...

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The state of New Hampshire licensed Lawson Software's (Nasdaq:LWSN) Enterprise Financial Management, Human Capital Management, Procurement, Business Process Management and Business Intelligence software suites to improve its administrative support systems, increase productivity

and enhance accountability to citizens and legislators. The contract was signed in the fourth quarter of Lawson's fiscal 2006, which ended May 31, 2006.

The state of New Hampshire has 1,275,000 residents and employs 12,000 full-time and approximately 4,000 part-time people within 60 state agencies, boards and commissions. The Lawson system will replace the state's heavily-customized business system.

The state will use the Lawson applications to update its statewide accounting system, improve the budgeting process for its legislative and executive branches, and accelerate its month- and year-end financial closing process from weeks to days. The consolidated Lawson ERP system is expected to help the state automate purchasing processes, support electronic payments to vendors and suppliers, and streamline benefits administration and payroll activities.

Lawson and CIBER, Inc., an international systems integration consultancy with significant expertise in government IT projects, are collaborating with the state of New Hampshire to implement the system in three phases. The first phase, which began in May, will roll out the new financial system and part of the budget system statewide. Implementation of the procurement and human resources software as well as the balance of the budgeting system will follow in phases two and three, respectively. This is an example of the shared commitment of Lawson and CIBER, Inc. to help government entities maximize their investments in IT solutions.

"Faced with a need to ensure their administrative systems support operational units effectively now and in the future, many CGI-AMS customers are finding that Lawson provides a better, more cost-effective solution to their long-term needs," said Ken Munson, marketing director - Government and Education, Lawson Software. "Lawson helps CGI-AMS customers easily move to a more viable, long-term solution that also enables government customers to optimize productivity, improve accountability and respond to evolving requirements."

Lawson serves more than 120 public services customers, including three of the top six digital state governments and four of the 25 largest school districts in the United States. State governments, cities, counties, school districts, publicly owned utilities/authorities and special districts rely on Lawson's solutions to help meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders - constituents, employees, students, vendors and the community - while helping to maximize limited budgets.
