South Carolina Regional Transit Authority Chief Placed on Leave during Probe.

Feb. 17--Waccamaw Regional Transportation Authority's board of directors placed Chief Executive Officer Benedict Shogaolu on administrative leave without pay Monday while the board attorney investigates purchasing procedures at the mass transit agency.

The board also voted unanimously to sell the furniture in Shogaolu's office and, according to the motion by board member Dan Stacey, "use proper procurement procedures to replace it with more practical furniture."
