CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 9, 2001

Strong demand continues among TCM software users for conversion to

web-based IFS Applications 2001(TM) business system

IFS Friday announced that its migration program continues to accelerate with the recent signing of $4 million in contracts to convert four companies using Time Critical Manufacturing (TCM) software to the IFS Applications system.

IFS acquired the developer of TCM software in October 1999 as part of its growth strategy in North America. Since then, the company has been steadily converting TCM users to IFS Applications via a Migration Toolkit that provides a cost-effective, easy-to-manage and predictable transition.

Terje Vangbo, IFS North America Inc. president and chief executive officer, commented, "Three factors continue to fuel the migration momentum, as well as our increasing acceptance worldwide. The first is our deep functionality with more than 60 web-based enterprise applications and a full suite of e-business capabilities.

"Second, IFS is the only enterprise application/e-business supplier to offer a step-by-step way to extend the enterprise with e-business, CRM or supply chain management without disrupting a company's day-to-day business operations.

"And last, IFS Applications provides complete integration with marketplaces, portals, point solutions, and legacy systems. These combined capabilities give companies a safe, affordable way to move into an advanced business solution. As a result, we expect to see a continued increase in the number of TCM customers moving to IFS applications this year."

IFS' newest migration customers include domestic and international manufacturers providing machinery for the construction industry, ink control systems for the printing industry, inspection equipment and quality control devices for the packaging industry, components for the semiconductor industry, and cables for mixed industries.
