Retek Inc. (Nasdaq:RETK) announced today the appointment of Mike Maris as vice president of sales for Retek's supply chain management business unit. Maris will be responsible for expanding Retek's presence and market

Maris comes to Retek after serving as chief operating officer for LOG-NET, Inc, a provider of international supply chain execution and logistics systems. At LOG-NET, Maris led sales, services and alliance program initiatives that increased sales, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Prior to LOG-NET, Maris was vice president of sales and marketing at Webplan, where he provided the strategic leadership of sales and marketing initiatives and the vision and execution plans to enhance the company's brand image. Maris also held sales management and executive positions with Descartes Systems Group Inc., EXE Technologies and Meijer, Inc.
