Chris Gallagher, director of membership and education at CIPS, will visit South Africa this month for the fourth Institute of Purchasing and Supply South Africa (IPSA)/CIPS Annual Pan-African Conference.

The event will take place on 20-21 May at the Emperor's Palace Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa.

New CIPS member benefit

Do purchasers in the US do things differently? Is their knowledge and good practice of supply management the same as ours in the UK? Now you can find out.

The latest CIPS member benefit is free access to the professional resources of the website of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), CIPS' sister organisation in North America.

Following a special partnership agreement, you are now able to access the ISM members-only section as a CIPS member. This area of the ISM website includes an extensive database of supply management information and related articles - more than 2,500 articles and conference presentations. Use a keyword search to locate large amounts of information.

The resources you can access include: The Glossary of Key Supply Management Terms; ISM resource guides; job descriptions and bid specifications. To view log in with your CIPS membership number and password at www.ism.ws/ cipslanding.cfm.
