JDA(R) Software Group Inc. (Nasdaq:JDAS) announced that Meijer Inc., a family owned and operated grocery and general merchandise retailer with 152 stores throughout the mid-western United States, significantly expanded its investment in JDA Portfolio(R) applications in first quarter 2002.

Meijer licensed Portfolio's E3 store replenishment optimization solution. A current JDA client, Meijer is currently involved in a large-scale engagement to implement Portfolio's client/server merchandising advanced planning and space and assortment management applications.
