CEM Corporation is a leading global provider of innovative solutions for compositional testing and other laboratory applications. For nearly 30 years, companies have depended on CEM systems for fast, accurate results. Our award-winning moisture/solids and fat analyzers are used in the meat industry
The newest addition to the CEM family of compositional testing products carries on our tradition of innovation with a system that will set a new standard for protein analysis. The new Sprint[TM] Automated Protein Analyzer provides an accurate protein analysis in minutes, without the use of harsh chemicals or high heat. Using an advanced protein tagging technology that already has AOAC-approval for many food products, Sprint's rapid and precise test results make it ideal for a quick analysis for both online process control and final quality control.

Sprint enables users to check the protein content in raw materials, as well as in-process and finished products with unprecedented ease and safety. Its small footprint, and easy-to-use software combines with automation and a robust design to provide an incredibly useful tool both at-line and in the laboratory for protein analysis.
The system was designed with the needs of today's production facility in mind. In the past, companies have had to sacrifice accuracy for speed when determining the amount of protein in raw materials that are paid for at point of delivery. Using inaccurate, indirect methods can be very costly for production facilities. Sprint changes all of that. Samples can be taken while a truck is unloading and analysis can be conducted so quickly that vendors can be paid correctly and loads can be rejected before they are moved into storage. Technicians with basic training can now test incoming shipments of raw materials, monitor products in-process, and assure final product quality of a sample in minutes.
Protein tagging is a proven technique that measures protein directly, while Kjeldahl and combustion techniques measure all nitrogen in a sample and then use a conversion factor to correct for non-protein nitrogen. Sprint's protein tagging technology only measures protein. If nitrogen-containing additives are present in the sample, they do not affect Sprint's results.
Sprint operates cleanly and efficiently. All parts that touch the sample are either disposed of after use or are self-cleaning for easy operation and hassle-free maintenance.
In October, attendees of the Worldwide Food Expo in Chicago will be the first to see the Sprint's protein tagging technology in action. Stop by the CEM booth, #4218, and see for yourself just how easy and accurate protein analysis can be.
