IN an attempt to improve service levels at the retail outlets, the
Malaysia Retailers Association (MRA) plans to have its members accredited
for excellence in dealing with customers.
The 2003 "Retail Service & Courtesy" Standard of Excellence
Accreditation program, a first for MRA, was prompted by comments that the
level of service in Malaysia, particularly the retail sector, is not as
good as in South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia.
