Application service provider USinternetworking is on a roll. Like its ASP competitors, the company charges its clients one monthly fee for the lease of all its software, connectivity, hardware, support and consulting services. ASPs are intended to eliminate the problems associated with complicated packages like ERP. USi was founded in 1998 by former Digwex CEO Christopher McCleary. One of USi's first partners was PeopleSoft, but its partner roster now includes Siebel Systems, BroadVision and Microsoft. In Apr 1999, the company went public, ending the 2nd qtr with revenues of $6.7 million.
