WAYLAND, Mass. and MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 17, 2001

Business Alliance Will Optimize e-Learning Content Creation and

Deployment

IBM Canada and Knowledge Impact today announced joint e-learning offerings to help Canadian companies ensure their employees are more confident, skilled, and productive in record time. The new offerings help guarantee that critical implementation projects succeed by supporting management and employees at all levels from beginning to end.

"Our alliance with Knowledge Impact is the first of its kind for IBM's Mindspan Services practice," said Tom Whyte, General Manager of IBM Learning Services. "IBM is now the only company in the e-learning market with expertise in post-training employee support, as well as e-learning consulting, content development and e-learning technologies."

The agreement between IBM Learning Services, the division of IBM Global Services responsible for developing customers' e-learning solutions, and Knowledge Impact, a leader in Web-based training and performance support for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, will see the pairing of IBM's Mindspan e-Learning offerings with Knowledge Impact's KnowledgeMate Performance Support System.

The new offering will initially focus on the ERP and CRM marketplaces, where both IBM Global Services and Knowledge Impact have an established presence. The business relationship takes effect immediately in Canada, and there are plans to expand the agreement to additional geographies in the near future.

"The professionals at IBM Learning Services have a tremendous heritage in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions to empower end-users and drive the growth of the businesses," said David J. Stanvick, Vice President of Marketing, Knowledge Impact. "We are delighted to be associated with IBM and to be able to enrich the IBM Mindspan Services suite with content, technologies, and delivery methods."

Knowledge Impact will be authorized to offer its Canadian customers the full range of products and services comprising the IBM Mindspan offerings. Additionally, IBM Learning Services will offer Knowledge Impact's products to customers implementing e-learning and performance support solutions for CRM and ERP applications.
