Eduventures.com (www.eduventures.com), a market research firm for the education industry, announced today the appointment of two new staff members.
Jim McVety is the latest addition to the research
team and will be covering all sectors of the education industry. Prior to joining Eduventures.com, Mr. McVety managed the Newspapers division at HighWired.com. He has also worked as a social worker for homeless youth in Boston, Massachusetts, and performed volunteer outreach to at-risk children and teenagers in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. McVety holds Bachelor's degrees in secondary education and English from Boston College.Chris Curran has also joined Eduventures.com, serving as the Director of Client Services. Before joining the Eduventures.com team, Mr. Curran held the position of president and executive director of the SchoolFirst Foundation. Mr. Curran has also held several business development positions for e-commerce, technology and software companies and several senior positions in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Mr. Curran holds an M.A. in energy economics and environmental management from Boston University and a B.A. in religions and philosophical studies from St. Lawrence University, with a concentration in government.
