Spherion(R) Technology Services, an IT services provider and core business group of Spherion Corporation, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey Artis as senior vice president of National Solutions. Artis reports to Wayne Mincey, president of Spherion Technology Services.
Artis is responsible for the management and development of Spherion's portfolio of services - including Help Desk, Desktop Support, Application Development, Software Quality Testing and Network Professional Services. In this newly created role, he will work to better leverage the company's solutions and intellectual capital to ensure effective and consistent client service delivery. In addition, he will be responsible for the coordination of Spherion's alliance and partnership strategy.

Artis joins Spherion with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and consulting for various organizations within the technology services industry. Prior to joining Spherion, Artis was a regional vice president for Thrupoint, a provider of network integration and consulting services. He also spent a number of years with IBM Global Services in solutions development, sales management and marketing roles. In addition, he has held positions as vice president, Enterprise Services for Getronics and vice president of marketing for Vanstar.
Artis received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and English from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
