DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 2004
More than half of breakout sessions feature executives from
Fortune 500 or Fortune Global 500 companies
More than 80 breakout sessions, featuring supply chain success stories from a broad range of vertical industries and product categories, will be featured at i2 Planet San Diego 2004. The event, scheduled for April 27-29 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, features executives from some of the world's most successful and innovative companies who will present and discuss their closed-loop supply chain management challenges, opportunities and successes.
Last year after Planet, AMR Research wrote that it came away from this conference with the impression that "i2 customers are some of the smartest supply chain practitioners in the world." (AMR Research Alert, May 15, 2003).
"We couldn't agree more," said Janet Eden-Harris, i2 chief marketing officer. "We are so privileged that these industry leaders will be in San Diego with us. Thanks to so many terrific i2 customers and partners, and their willingness to share best practices with their peers, there is no better place to learn first-hand about achieving supply chain success than at i2 Planet."
i2 Planet breakout sessions include solution, industry and general business tracks. More than half of the breakout sessions feature supply chain and technology executives from Fortune 500 or Fortune Global 500 companies. These sessions feature i2 customers and partners sharing practical techniques, best practices and case studies highlighting the latest supply chain applications. In addition, participating companies will discuss how to increase business process efficiencies to reduce development time, streamline supplier and customer relationships and achieve proven results to increase revenue.
Sixteen former winners of the Ken Sharma Award for Excellence will present, including BAE Systems, Caterpillar, Whirlpool and 3M. The Ken Sharma Award -- named in honor of i2 co-founder and supply chain management visionary Ken Sharma -- recognizes companies and project teams involved in breakthrough best practices in all major industries worldwide.
