ATLANTA -- JBoss(R), Inc., the Professional Open Source company, today introduced the JBoss Authorized Training Partner (JATP) Program to allow partners to deliver, for the first time, the full training curriculum for the JBoss Enterprise Middleware Suite (JEMS(TM)). Now, JBoss partners can capitalize on an increasing demand for technical expertise as JEMS continues to gain market share and widespread enterprise adoption.
"Between massive deployment of JEMS and increasing demand from customers for training, it simply made sense to enable our partners to deliver training for core JEMS technologies," said Brad Murdoch, vice president of services, JBoss, Inc. "This new program ensures that JBoss partners are sufficiently armed with the skills and tools to offer the same level of high quality training that our customers have come to expect from JBoss, Inc. technical instructors."
By achieving certification and validation through the program, partners can teach the full JBoss training curriculum, including specialized courses on core JEMS technologies such as Hibernate, JBoss jBPM and JBoss Portal which have previously been taught solely by JBoss, Inc. technical experts. The popularity of JBoss training courses, which regularly sell out, necessitated the expansion of training capabilities to partners.
To assure that partners deliver the same level of quality and expertise expected of JBoss, Inc. instructors, all partner instructors must be Certified JBoss Middleware Experts. Achieving this level of expertise requires completing the Certified JBoss Developer Curriculum plus two JEMS specialties. In addition to completing the required curriculum, every partner instructor must successfully co-teach any class they plan to offer with and be personally validated by a JBoss, Inc. instructor. "JBoss continues to expand and make gains in the market, both of which are already driving demand for training, evidenced by the number of JEMS courses we've added to our schedule," said Margaretta Colangelo, director of sales, LearningPatterns. "As a JBoss Authorized Training Partner with a number of JBoss Certified instructors, we now have greater flexibility and autonomy to serve a growing market where JEMS technical expertise is becoming increasingly distinctive and desirable."
JBoss Authorized Training Partners who offer one or more full curriculum courses include BSG, Cignex, Interbit, LearningPatterns, Objectone, Sadalbari and Valtech. For additional information about the new training program, visit www.jboss.com/services/certification.
