"I was so impressed with the local Cancer Society. The people were so supportive and helpful. I have shared my positive experience with a number of people."
These are the words of a cancer patient after receiving services from the American Cancer Society in Lincoln Nebraska. I'd like to make two points about those two sentences.
First, by exceeding that patient's expectations we were closer to accomplishing one of our goals which is to provide a "Measurable improvement in the quality of life for patients, survivors, and families."
By offering legendary customer service you are better positioned to meet your business goals.
Second, the patient was so impressed that she shared her experience with others. There's your positive word of mouth, your viral marketing.
If you are a small business or any size non profit, marketing and advertising can be prohibitively expensive. But if you offer legendary customer service, then one outcome is usually positive word of mouth advertising.
Now you know it, go do it.:-)
Regards,
Glenn
