ATLANTA U.S. BASE FOR U.K. TUB SUPPLIER

Atlanta, GA - British free-standing tub manufacturer Victoria & Albert Group is formally establishing U.S. headquarters here as Victoria & Albert Bath LLC. The firm, which has had a U.S. presence in the Carolinas, selected Atlanta as its American base of operations due to a variety of factors, including

the city's airport, its climate, its workforce and the sales potential for tubs in the southeastern U.S., according to Victoria & Albert Group CEO Edward Taylor.

"We chose Atlanta primarily because it's a good city for getting around the rest of the U.S.," Taylor said. "It has good connections with the U.K. because of the airport. There's also an awful lot of new construction taking place, and it's quite close to the Port of Charleston, which is a good port for us, as well."

Taylor said the company has not yet selected the exact site for its headquarters. Only three to five employees will work out of Atlanta initially, although Victoria & Albert contracts with as many as 60 representatives across the country, Taylor added.

The company's product line of free-standing tubs - offered in 15 traditional and contemporary styles - is aimed at builders, architects and kitchen/bath specialists.
