Gehl to Deploy IFS Applications at Worldwide Locations; CEAttachments Goes Live on IFS Web Store E-Business Software.

Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 31, 2001

IFS customer CEAttachments Inc., a new company created by the Gehl(R) Co. to market attachments for compact equipment, is live on IFS Applications(TM) business software.

Internationally recognized as a leader in agriculture and construction equipment, Gehl plans to have IFS software solutions implemented at all global manufacturing sites by the end of the year.

"We expect to become the single-source supplier for each of our customer's attachment needs, offering a wide variety of attachments and services. If we don't have the attachment a customer needs in inventory, we'll find it for them. Unlimited selection, prompt delivery and unmatched service are what we intend to provide our customers.

"As a result, we needed a highly scalable web store integrated with e-business capabilities," said Craig Hammann, general manager for CEA.

"By implementing the IFS Web Store(TM), we now have the speed and scalability we require to handle a high volume of customers. Furthermore, this web store will be seamlessly integrated with the IFS enterprise and supply chain applications deployed in our manufacturing sites," Hammann added.

"IFS Applications are popular with international companies such as Gehl that require a strong web store and e-business capabilities combined with a broad range of back office and supply chain applications.

"Our portal-based, integrated modules allow global customers to more efficiently manage their customer fulfillment, shortening order-to-delivery time," said Terje Vangbo, president of IFS North America Inc.
