How Can I Find a Cheap Rental Car for My Next Business Trip?

* From  Date: Friday, March 7 2008

To find a good deal on your next rental car, first find out if your business has an established corporate account with a specific agency. If not, go online or open up the Yellow Pages and, starting with the major agencies, do some comparative shopping by asking about business traveler discounts for

day- and week-long rentals. Also ask about partnerships with hotel chains if you'll need a hotel room as well.

Online travel sites such as Priceline.com and Orbitz.com are good places to look. Keep in mind that picking up and dropping off your rental car at the same location is usually cheaper than picking it up at one location and dropping it off somewhere else. And if you own a car, your existing auto insurance policy probably covers you for rental cars, which eliminates that added expense.
