To ensure that those long-haul flights are both productive and restful, it's important that you pack comfort items such as noise-canceling headphones, which can eliminate much of the annoying noise happening around you (crying babies, chatter, engine noise), and a U- or L-shaped travel pillow, which will cradle your neck in a way that minimizes discomfort and makes it easier for you to sleep upright. If you'll be doing a lot of computer work on the plane, invest in a USB flash memory drive that has a capacity that suits your needs, a laptop carrying case, and an iGo charger to keep your laptop charged while working. Some iGo chargers will even charge your MP3 player and cell phone as well.
