As companies struggle to drive down expenses and streamline operations, enterprise outsourcing has taken "front and center" in the business news. Executives want to understand the pros and cons of outsourcing operations to new locales around the globe- in the United States, Canada, Europe, Latin America or Asia - while the general public wants to understand the short- and long-term economic ramifications of this booming market practice.
Amit Shankardass is a leading authority on international call center outsourcing. As Solution Planning Officer for Nashville-based ClientLogic (www.clientlogic.com), a customer service outsourcer that manages 33 call centers and 12,000 agents around the globe, Amit helps ClientLogic and its clients identify existing and new geographic regions to establish call center operations.
Through living and working in such regions as India, East Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, Amit has mastered the overt and nuanced cultural distinctions of business and consumer geographies. His depth of industry experience and international background uniquely position him as a source of unbiased and insightful third-party commentary on this topic. Amit is often quoted in call center and outsourcing journals and has presented at a variety of industry trade shows.
