Best Friends to Open Full-Service Pet Center in Willow Grove, PA; New, State-of-the-Art Facility...

NORWALK, Conn -- Best Friends Pet Care Inc., the largest pet care services company in the U.S. with 40 pet boarding facilities in 18 states, has announced plans to open a full-service pet care center in Willow Grove, PA this summer.

The 33,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will

"Our goal is to bring dog and cat lovers in the area a clean, safe, multi-service pet facility that provides the very highest quality care for pets. Our new Willow Grove center will be designed to offer pets a safe environment with all of the amenities - from first-rate lobby to air-conditioned suites to a full-service pet grooming salon."

Features of the Best Friends Willow Grove Pet Care Center will include:

--Doggy Village, with more than 200 deluxe two-room suites and nine Vacation Villa luxury suites for dogs;

--Kitty City, with 36 multi-story cat condos for feline guests;

--a full-service grooming salon, with a separate bathing room and four stations for haircuts and styling;

--a large multi-purpose room for doggy daycamp and training programs plus six play rooms for small group and one-on-one play; and

--a retail boutique offering top-quality pet treats, toys and accessories.

The facility will also house a veterinary hospital, independently operated by Healthy Pet, providing an array of pet health services, from preventive to diagnostic and diagnostic and surgery.

Willow Grove will be Best Friends' fourth location in the greater Philadelphia area. The company owns and operates two pet care centers in South Jersey - in West Berlin and in Cinnaminson - and Steward's Pet Resort in Chadds Ford, PA

According to Dolan, the new facility is slated to open in July 2005. Best Friends is expected to bring between 20 and 35 full- and part-time jobs to the community, including pet care and customer service positions, once the Willow Grove pet care center opens.
