Partnership equals success.

Kudos to Mr. Graves for his Publisher's Page in the December issue, which promotes "the ultimate partnership," that is, marriage, as one of the many foundations of success in every aspect of life. It is for the reasons he mentioned that I started a matchmaking service,

The Talented Tenth Connection, in the D.C.--Maryland--Virginia metropolitan area, targeting African American professionals looking to enter into a long-term relationship or marriage.

As the rate of marriage has steadily declined across the board in American society, African Americans are faring worse than any other race with respect to entering into the ultimate partnership. They are not only getting married at a much lower rate than their white and latino counterparts but later in life.

More matchmakers willing to serve our community are needed in order to help raise the marriage rate in the African American community (which would in turn increase the stability of our community) and help couples reap the benefits that the ultimate partnership has to offer as described by Mr Graves.
