Steve Bourie, author of "American Casino Guide," the No. 1 bestseller on casino gambling, is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his book with a 33-state tour of all U.S. casinos.
Bourie's lecture, "Casino Gambling - How To Play and How To Win," begins with details on how slots and video poker machines work, plus the best strategies for playing them. He then covers all major table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat. Besides giving information on how to play he also discusses the best winning strategies for each game.
"This is a great opportunity to learn how to properly play these games," said Bourie. "While many casinos offer 'how-to-play' classes, this program goes much further by actually explaining which strategies offer the best opportunities to win."
The first lecture is Saturday, March 31 at the Gambler's Warehouse bookstore in Gulfport and another is set for Saturday, April 7 at the Hollywood Casino in Tunica. Both will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Bourie's "American Casino Guide" has been published annually since 1992 and sold more than 200,000 copies. He writes gaming articles for numerous travel and gaming magazines and also maintains a website at www.americancasinoguide.com with a directory of all U.S. casinos; information on casino travel specials, promotional contests and giveaways; a casino discussion board; how-to-play tips; and links to hundreds of gambling-related sites.
The current 2001 edition of "American Casino Guide" gives detailed information on more than 600 casinos in 33 states. It includes comprehensive stories on how to play all casino games, strategy charts for blackjack and video poker, slot machines payback statistics for each state and stories on how to take advantage of casino promotions and slot clubs. The book also comes with 81 coupons providing more than $1,000 in savings at various casinos and travel companies. Also included are informative maps of each state showing casino locations, plus detailed maps of Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, Biloxi and Tunica.
