Who's living affluently in South Florida? According to a TNS-Gallup study, nearly 14 percent of households in South Florida report a net worth of more than $500,000. Palm Beach County has the highest percent of high-net-worth population of any area in the United States. New York-based bank US Trust uses the TNS-Gallup data to conduct its annual Survey of Affluent Americans, and Mark Stevens, CEO of US Trust's Southeastern region, says he is not surprised about the findings. "That's why we're here: this is a wealthy part of the country, much wealthier than the rest of the country."
