Buyer's Market: Larger outsourcing vendors are offering more services to employers for less.

Stung by rising health care costs, some large companies are finding solace in bargains offered by a new breed of outsourcers that can handle everything from benefits to recruiting.

Outsourcing of benefits administration has been happening for more than a decade. But now outsourcers want companies to let them run most HR functions. In past, vendors had expertise in one area, such as defined contribution administration, but not in another, like HR information systems. That has changed as outsourcers have merged to create one-stop shopping for employers.
