UNION, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 18, 1996--The board of directors of TransTechnology Corp. (NYSE: TT) has declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.065 per share payable on March 1 to shareholders of record on Feb. 15.

In other action, the board elected Gerald C. Harvey to fill the vacant

position of vice president, secretary and general counsel of the company effective Feb. 1. Harvey is a partner in the Summit, N.J. law firm of Pfaltz & Woller P.A. and has served as acting general counsel for the company since Nov. 1, 1995. Harvey graduated from Rutgers University and completed law school at Columbia University. During his career, Harvey, age 45, has served as a foreign associate in a Tokyo law firm, as in-house counsel to Nissho Iwai American Corp., and as a partner in the New Jersey law firm of Hannoch & Weisman P.C.
