PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 2003

Fios(R) Inc.:

-- With substantial revenue growth in 2002 and the first quarter

of 2003, the electronic discovery services company is

profitable and sets the stage

for expansion

Fios(R) Inc., the leading provider of electronic discovery services, announced today financial results through the first quarter ending March 31, 2003.

Revenue for the first quarter 2003 was 243 percent of revenue generated in the same period last year. This builds on the financial performance achieved for the calendar year ended December 31, 2002, in which revenue was 156 percent of revenue generated during the previous year. Demonstrating the momentum of the company and the strength of its offering, Fios exceeded its Q1 revenue projections by 40 percent, winning more than 60 percent of its proactive sales engagements. The company grew its customer roster and the total number of projects serviced, processing 156 percent more electronic discovery data in the first quarter of 2003 than the same period in 2002. The company is profitable and cash flow positive, and has set the stage for expansion.

"This tremendous growth clearly demonstrates the market demand for Fios' electronic discovery services throughout the corporate and legal industry," said Lyman Potts, chief financial officer and chief operating officer for Fios. "Based on our first quarter results, we are poised to achieve revenue production in 2003 well into double figures, and we're just beginning to tap the potential of this market. We attribute our profitability and success to our proven ability to deliver electronic discovery projects with unparalleled precision and speed, top-notch customer service, industry-leading technology and our powerful Web-based data review tool, Prevail(TM)."

Fios Reaches New Heights

Fios' strong results and steady business growth in 2002 and Q1 2003 can be attributed to the following:

-- Customer Growth & Satisfaction - Servicing clients in industry

segments, such as telecommunications, banking,

pharmaceuticals, energy and securities, Fios has experienced

rapid growth of its customer base and significant repeat

business from existing clients. Fios has a strong reputation

for delivering projects accurately and on time. The company's

client roster includes many of the largest law firms in the

country, including Jones Day Reavis & Pogue, O'Melveny &

Myers, Proskauer Rose, and Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, and

FORTUNE(TM) 500 corporations. In first quarter of 2003, Fios

increased its processing capacity by more than 35 percent to

accommodate customer demand.

-- Technology Excellence - Fios has made major upgrades to its

next-generation, Web-based electronic document review tool,

Prevail(TM). Among a myriad of new features specifically

designed for the legal industry, the electronic discovery tool

now offers concept-based searching (Concept Explorer(TM)) and

email chain review (Chain Explorer(TM)). The reliability in

accessing and using Prevail is outstanding, with uptime

consistently in excess of 99 percent.

-- Management Growth - Fios continued to invest in and strengthen

its management team in the first quarter of 2003 with the

additions of Brian Ingram, director of client services, and

Brian Rose, director of business development. These

individuals are responsible for scaling their respective

departments in response to increased customer demand.

Fios' investment in infrastructure, technology and client support specialists over the past year has resulted in flexible and scalable production capacity that will enable the company to take its services to the next level and meet the growing market demand. To date, Fios has processed many terabytes of data, and tens of millions of TIFF images and printed pages.

"Our primary goal is to provide the most state-of-the-art service and technology to simplify the electronic discovery process and provide the best results for our clients," said Potts. "As a result of our understanding of the technical and legal issues inherent in processing and presenting all types of data and associated metadata, we are in a unique position to concentrate on market opportunities and accelerate our leadership position."
