Spring-Water Bottler Vermont Pure Holdings Sees Profits Dip as Costs Surge.

Sep. 16--For the third quarter in a row, Vermont Pure Holdings Ltd., the parent of Watertown-based Crystal Rock Spring Water Co., has reported a drop in profits despite a slight increase in sales.

The company Monday reported net income, or profits, of $566,000, or three cents per diluted share, for the quarter ended July 31, a 56-percent drop from profits of $1.3 million, or six cents per diluted share, for the same quarter of 2002.
