Aug. 1--Scottsdale-based Allied Waste Industries, the nation's second-largest waste hauler, announced another drop in its $8billion-plus debt during the second ...uarter of this year.

The company's debt dropped by $517million in the second ...uarter to $8.2billion through the application of proceeds from capital markets transactions and free cash flow. During the first ...uarter, the debt dropped by $158million.
