Apr. 8--AIM REPORTS SLIGHT CONFIDENCE LOSS: BOSTON -- The Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM) Business Confidence Index was steady in March, with a statistically insignificant one-tenth point loss.

But the 58.5 reading wrapped up a first quarter that averaged 58.7, marking the strongest three-month period in three years. A reading above 50 indicates net optimism on the part of surveyed employers.
