Compuware CEO Takes Salary Cut.

Oct. 22--Peter Karmanos Jr. will take a pay cut and cancel this year's Christmas party as part of a plan to slice between $10 million and $15 million a quarter from Compuware Corp.'s expenses without laying off employees.

Karmanos, Compuware's chairman and chief executive officer, disclosed the cost-cutting measures -- including the 67 percent cut in his $950,000 pay -- during a conference call with analysts Tuesday.
