Oct. 16--PROVIDENCE, R.I.--TEXTRON EARNINGS SLIP: Conglomerate Textron Inc. reported lower third-quarter earnings today, blaming fewer orders for its Cessna business jets. Textron, which makes missiles and other defense products in Wilmington, Mass., reported net income for the period ending Sept. 30 of $47 million (34 cents a share), down from $71 million (51 cents a share) a year ago. Revenues were $2.2 billion, down from $2.5 billion, reflecting lower volumes at all businesses, except Kautex and Wilming
