Eurotunnel has awarded a Euros 157 million contract to Bombardier Transportation and Brush Traction, Britain, to upgrade 37 of its electric locomotives which are used to haul Shuttle road-vehicle carrying trains through the Channel Tunnel. There is an option to upgrade another 14 locomotives. The work will start in February 2003 and should be completed by April 2009. The objective is to increase the output of the locomotives from 5.6 to 7MW and to extend
