Dutch Invite Bids For International HS Services.(Brief Article)

THE Dutch transport minister, Mrs Tineke Netelenbos, has decided that private companies will be allowed to bid for the operation of international high-speed services on the new high-speed line linking Amsterdam with the Belgian border. HSL Zuid, the government agency responsible for the project, was due to release a registration and consultation document last month.

Netherlands Railways (NS) has until the middle of August to submit its bid to operate domestic services on the high-speed line. NS will be awarded the contract if it meets stringent financial and quality
