THE Dutch transport minister, Mrs Tineke Netelenbos, has decided that private companies will be allowed to bid for the operation of international high-speed services on the new high-speed line linking Amsterdam with the Belgian border. HSL Zuid, the government agency responsible for the project, was due to release a registration and consultation document last month.
