PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local MUNICIPAL WATER BOARD recently awarded a water treatment plant construction contract to a consortium led by Germany-based LURGI BAMAG GMBH. According to the terms of the turnkey award, the partnership will be responsible for building a facility to enable the supply of potable water to about 1 million people in the city of Adana, Turkey.

The planned unit will have an installed processing capacity of 250,000 cubic meters per day as well as being able to meet the stringent European standards on drinking water quality. The filter unit
