UAE: Construction contract award for planned $354,000,000 gas development project, NATIONAL...

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local ABU DHABI COMPANY FOR ONSHORE OIL OPERATIONS (ADCO) recently awarded a gas development contract to NATIONAL PETROLEUM CONSTRUCTION CO. (NPCC) of Abu Dhabi, UAE. According to the terms of the award, NPCC will be responsible for completing phase III of the Bab gas field development project known as OGD III-Upstream.

The undertaking is intended to enable increasing natural gas production capacity to 3 times its current level at the Thumama field. In so doing, the gas will be pumped through a huge pipeline network to specialized firm
