UAE: Construction contract award for planned $58,000,000 textile city, UNITED ENGINEERING...

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local TEXTILE MERCHANTS GROUP (TEXMAS) recently awarded a construction contract to UNITED ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS (UNEC) of the UAE to build a new textile complex. The facility, dubbed Dubai Textile City (DTC), will be built on a 6 million square meter land area in Warsan.

As things currently stand, construction work has started-up and project completion is scheduled in about 18 months time. The cost to complete the project has been pegged at $58,000,000.

UNEC operates as a full-service construction company.
