PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local SOCIETE DES CIMENTS D'ENFIDA currently operates a cement plant with an installed production capacity of 1 million tons per year (t/y) located some 70 kms south of Tunis. And, the company recently awarded a plant upgrade contract to France-based POLYSIUS, a subsidiary of KRUPP POLYSIUS of Germany.

According to the terms of the turnkey award, POLYSIUS will be responsible for just about doubling production output. In so doing, the new line is to be implemented in 2 phases. In a first stage, production volume will be increased by
