MAXIMUS Wins $31.5 Million Employment Services Contract Rebid in Australia.

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 14, 2003

MAXIMUS (NYSE:MMS) Australia arm, MAXNetwork, has been awarded through a competitive rebid a three-year, $31.5 million (US) contract with Australia's Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.

Under

this contract, MAXNetwork will provide employment services including job placement, job search support, and customized assistance. The Company will provide a continuum of personalized services to job seekers to obtain employment. More intense assistance and case services will be provided the longer-term and disadvantaged unemployed job seekers.

MAXNetwork, formerly Leonie Green & Associates, has been providing these services throughout Australia for nine years. This contract includes 38 sites throughout Queensland, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory. The majority of these services will be provided from existing MAXNetwork offices. While four new offices have been opened in the Western Downs and Northern Beaches to support this contract, other offices previously operated by MAXNetwork were not included in this contract award.
