Realtors, Builders Report Strong Sales of Lake Property in Alabama.

Jun. 20--ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. -- Around Lake Martin, houses are selling like syrupy hotcakes. And while the boom is benefiting real estate companies, to be sure, other types of businesses are sopping up their share of the largesse.

The driver of this activity is the host of homebuyers who come from across the country to live on the lake.
