Royal, who got her first taste of the restaurant business as a waitress more than 22 years ago, has learned her way around more than a kitchen in her dealings with more than half a dozen popular Capital City haunts that paved the way for today's Down the Street Cafe.
But with success came a certain self-induced degree of civic responsibility,
