Giant taking over Tops supermarts?, BUSINESS TIMES

DAIRY Farm International's Giant is said to have signed a deal to
acquire Royal Ahold's Tops supermarket chain in Malaysia last week.
The deal gives Giant the control of an additional 34 supermarkets
nationwide, according to a source.
Employees at Tops have received informal notice on their respective
positions once the takeover is completed, the source told Business Times.
